The idea of using CBD for adaptive behavior changes is still being explored. However, initial findings suggest that it is possible. Weiss, et al. examined the potential impact on CBD on adaptive behaviors by examining animal models of recovery from addictive behaviors.

CBD was associated with an increased likelihood of adaptive behaviors including decreased drug seeking and reduced impulsivity. There are some differences between people and animal models.
